Couponing Basics Every Beginner

I love to save money any way possible and I love to help others save money! I am no expert on couponing, but these tips are things I do EVERY WEEK and have saved me hundreds of $$$!

  1. Follow thekrazycouponlady.com

I have her app and check her blog every single day and sometimes multiple times a day. She is always posting the most current and best deals at your local stores. Just by following her, I’ve gotten free makeup, free razors, dog food for $1, and dirt cheap diapers just to name a few! The great thing is she explains exactly how to do each deal so you don’t have to figure it out yourself!

  1. Print coupons from coupons.com

This is such a great way to save money on products you already buy! If you know you need toilet paper this month, check out this site for coupons you can print from home and take with you to the store. Some coupons don’t expire for awhile, but will disappear from the site so when you see something you will eventually need sometime soon, print the coupon ahead of time and save it for later. I like to check here for diaper coupons because they post some pretty frequently and it can help save you big bucks! They also have an app that has some additional coupons to use on the go.

  1. Use the Ibotta app

I always thought this app was a waste of time but it isn’t! After you make a purchase, save your receipt and check for items you can refunds for! Once you reach just $20 in refunds, you can get the money sent to you by Paypal or in the form of a gift card.

  1. Check Retailmenot.com

Every time I am standing in a checkout line at places like popular retail stores, I check this website and you would be surprised at how much I’ve saved just from checking in line! For example, a few weeks ago at Pacsun, I checked and they had a coupon that saved me over $20!

  1. Raise.com

I recently learned about this website and it’s amazing! It’s a place where you can buy and sell gift cards at a discounted price. The nice thing about it is that for a lot of stores, you can buy the gift card from your phone and get sent an egift card to use on the go. So if you know you are going to be shopping somewhere or going to the movies, buy a discounted gift card to get more bang for your buck!
